026 - Alien

February 7, 2017

On this episode, our good buddy Jonas from over at the Horror Commentary podcast comes on the show to walk us through an iconic horror film...Alien...so you know it's gonna be good.

This episode is also dedicated to the late Sir John Hurt, who passed away the week of this episode's recording, and for whom we are indebted for the existence of this film.

All-in-all you can expect to hear us make fun of some deaf people, deconstruct cliché film devices, soil our pants, accuse someone of ripping their fingernail off with a certain apendage, talk some smack about 'the man', corporations, and all that punk rock jazz (punk rock jazz should be a thing), and according to Brandon 'maybe' an android looses his head...maybe...you'll just have to listen and find out!

January 30, 2017

Welcome back to Cinefails the podcast where we watch iconic movies for the first time. This episode is a bit different, it's our "Modern Classics" episode where we watch a movie that is brand new but we're assuming will be considered iconic in the future. But first we talk about our picks for the Oscars. Who should win Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, and Best Picture? We answer/argue about all this and more.

024 - 16 Candles

January 23, 2017

This week we've got a full cast of characters! Brandon, Tristan, Jacqueline, and Brady are all together to watch the classic 80's flick: 16 Candles. We spend a fair bit of time talking about Netflix's original programming in general and their new Series of Unfortunate Events original specifically. We all rave about the show (except Tristan who hasn't seen it). Brandon grossly overestimates how much terror a 6 year old can handle. And we guess (rather poorly) at the plot of 16 Candles.

Minor Spoilers:

Daredevil (movie and Netflix series)

Elektra

Jessica Jones

Luke Cage

How I Met Your Mother

The Grinch Who Stole Christmas (2000)

Gone Girl

Footloose
